Our story
XeroE was founded with one mission: to improve the quality of urban air across the UK.
How it started
A window onto a busy street
Our founder, Steve Evans, had just moved from the leafy suburbs of London to the inner city. Looking out of the window at lorries, vans and cars rolling past, spewing out fumes and noise, made plain how big a problem air pollution was.
With six grandchildren growing up in central London, Steve built XeroE in 2018 as a tool to fight for a healthier future. He set about stopping couriers on the road, hanging around drivers' downtime spots and slapping stickers on charging points to build a network of zero-carbon couriers. More than a million emission-free parcels later, that network runs in eight UK cities.
In 2024 XeroE joined OTL Group, alongside Delivery Mates, bringing the group's footprint in 128 UK towns and cities to our partners while XeroE stays the emission-free specialist.
